If you’re looking for reliable machine hire with an experienced operator on the Gold Coast, you’re in the right place.
We keep things simple: hourly rates only, no project pricing, and no hidden surprises. Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about our excavators, Bobcat/skid steer, 8T tipper, Combo hire and general earthmoving services.

Hiring & Rates
Do you offer fixed-price quotes or project rates? No, we only charge hourly rates with a 4-hour minimum (which includes 1 hour for travel). We do not offer project or fixed pricing; you only pay for the actual time the operator is working on your site.
Are there any extra costs or hidden fees I should know about? Additional fees apply for specialized attachments like rock breakers or augers. For material disposal, dump fees are charged at cost plus 10%. Otherwise, it is just the hourly rate and the 4-hour minimum.
What if I need to cancel or change my booking? Please contact us as soon as possible. We are flexible where we can be, but late cancellations may incur the minimum hire charge depending on the notice provided.
How far in advance should I book my equipment? The sooner the better! Some weeks book out fast across the Gold Coast. Contact us early to secure your preferred date.
What areas do you service? We service the entire Gold Coast and surrounding regions, including coastal suburbs, inland areas, and the hinterland.
Technical & Site Access
How much space is required for machine access? 3T Excavator: 1.8m width / 2.7m height. 5T Excavator: 2.2m width / 3.0m height. Combo Hire: Roughly 2.2m width / 3.0m height. If access is tight, please provide measurements so we can confirm the best fit.
Can you assist with tight-access residential sites? Absolutely. Our 3T excavator and Bobcat are designed for tighter residential entries. Let us know your gate or entry measurements when booking.
What equipment is available for hire? We offer 3T and 5T excavator hire, Bobcat/skid steer hire, an 8T tipper truck, and Combo hire (Excavator + Bobcat).
Do your machines come with specific attachments? All excavators and Bobcats come standard with tilt-hitch buckets. We also have hydraulic grabs, augers, and rock breakers available for an additional fee.
How should I prepare my site before the operator arrives? Ensure access paths are clear, gates are unlocked, and any overhead hazards or underground obstacles are noted.
Compliance & Project Scope
What types of earthmoving jobs can you help with? We specialize in trenches, driveways, footings, site prep, drainage, retaining wall preparation, and general site clean-ups.
Do I need to supply my own operator? No. All our equipment is "Wet Hire," meaning it comes with a professional, experienced operator to handle the job safely and efficiently.
Can you deliver materials or remove waste from the site? Yes. We can deliver soil, gravel, or road base, and remove spoil, green waste, or rubble using our 8T tipper.
Are you an approved contractor for local government projects? Yes, we are a pre-qualified supplier for the City of Gold Coast, ensuring our safety standards and insurance meet rigorous local requirements.
Can I hire the 8T tipper alongside other equipment? Yes, the tipper is frequently paired with our excavators or Combo hire for full site clean-ups and material runs.
Are you an approved contractor for City of Gold Coast projects? Yes. Camrick Earthworks is a Pre-Qualified Supplier for the City of Gold Coast. We are officially vetted and approved to deliver: Roads and General Civil Construction Water, Sewerage, and Stormwater Infrastructure Our pre-qualification ensures we meet the rigorous safety, environmental, and insurance standards ($20M Public Liability) required for municipal and large-scale civil infrastructure.
